So, we know about Zorua and Zoroark; and it's been established that 'Zoro' is spanish for fox and 'ark' short for dark. But the name got me thinking about Zoroastrianism.

People have been wondering how the next legendary Pokémon can possibly trump Arceus, supreme creator of all things ever; and the answer is simple: it won't.

A common theme of some legendary Pokémon is of two conflicting polar opposites (Lugia/Ho-Oh, Darkrai/Cresselia, Groudon/Kyogre). The main theme of Zoroastrianism is of a supreme creator, Ahura Mazda; who is constantly being undermined by the destructive force, Angra Mainyu.

To put it simply, the next important legendary Pokémon will be the Devil.

The next games have been announced; and they're called Pokémon Black & Pokémon White. It's looking good for my theory!

Well, now we have Reshiram and Zekrom. I have to say I'm a little disappointed there's not a Zoroastrian approach to this mythology; but at least the concept of duality is being used (they're the Dragon Yin and Dragon Yang Pokémon).

Should be interesting.
