This gets right on my nerves. I've just seen an advert in which a man and a woman are sat on the sofa watching TV. The man is picking at his toenails, so the woman pulls a lever and the sofa ejector-seats him out of the window, allowing the woman to lie down. The voice-over says "if only getting rid of all problems was this easy." Oh, how delightfully quirky.

How about the same advert, but with a man watching some football while a woman talks incessantly at him? This wouldn't be allowed, because it's 'sexist.' You may have seen the advert where the women steal the towels from the mens' sauna, forcing a naked man to run through the café with just some sandals covering his modesty.

I'd quite like to see a reversed version of that advert. The man had two sandals to cover his crown jewels and arse; but a woman has several things to cover.

Oh, how delightfully quirky.

The segment that used to include such gems as 'completely fact' and 'get fact' changed on it's second outing to include things like:

- Pragmatic truth
- Modal logic
- Verifiable observation
- Brute fact
- Consensus reality

But where did Trev get these impressive sounding phrases?

Surely he didn't just type 'fact' into Wikipedia..?

From the advert shown before the live Wednesday show:

"For over a year I've been working on four highly complex events of misdirection."

Given that the series is called 'The Events,' the phrase "events of misdirection" is particularly telling. Winning the Lottery, controlling the Nation, being a 'psychic spy' and taking down a casino don't have a lot to do with misdirection.

Considering the half-hearted explanation for his 'prediction,' I believe that these four things are not the real trick. He's messing with us somehow; and personally I think it's brilliant.
